Dr. Adam Lee
I am a native of Central Kansas and an active member in local and national
optometric organizations. One of the things I enjoy about my profession
is helping patients with eye diseases and other medical conditions that
impact eyes and vision. I was fortunate to learn from some of the best
contact lens educators and practitioners in the country, and use the experience
to provide exceptional services at Vision Wellness Center. Fitting specialty
contact lenses for those patients who rely on them is one the things that
I care about most. I value the primary care role of optometry and one-on-one
interaction with all ages of patients and a chance to educate each patient
about their eyes.
After graduating from Kansas State University with a BS in Biology in 2004,
I then attended the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of
Optometry and graduated with Honors in 2008. After receiving my degree,
I was selected to complete an eye disease residency program at Hu Hu Kam
Memorial Hospital, which is the primary care facility of the Gila River
Indian Reservation. At Hu Hu Kam, I treated a variety of eye diseases
and developed a strong interest in managing glaucoma, diabetic complications,
and uveitis. My professional experience has strengthened my skills to
co-manage more complicated cases with other medical providers. In addition,
my experience has allowed be to become more well-versed on the impact
of diabetes on eye health and today, I can provide special eye care to
diabetics in the Phoenix valley.
Although I became the practice owner in 2014, I have been seeing patients
at our office since 2009. Owning a practice was a personal goal I had
prior to applying to professional school, and I am both thrilled and inspired
by the opportunity to continue serving our patients. In my free time I
enjoy traveling, hiking, fishing, and participating in sports.

I was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from the University
of California Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. I attended
optometry school at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall
B. Ketchum University and graduated magna cum laude. After optometry school,
I completed an ocular disease and primary care residency at Hu Hu Kam
Memorial Hospital in Arizona, which is the primary care facility of the
Gila River Indian Community. This program had an emphasis in the managment
of diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, uveitis, trauma and surgical co-management.
My residency training has given me
clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of various ocular
I enjoy developing personal relationships with my patients and tailoring
eyecare to their individual needs. I value the primary care role of optometry
and one-on-one interaction with patients of all ages. I also value being
able to work closely with other health care specialties to manage more
complex eye problems caused by medical issues. Specifically I have a strong
interest in managing glaucoma, diabetic complications, and other eye diseases.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, traveling and drinking
Dr. Ryan Ambrose
I am originally from the Midwest, born in Lake Forest (IL) and grew up
in Lake Geneva (WI). I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology
with a minor in Spanish at Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI while being
a student athlete. I attended optometry school at NOVA Southeastern University
in Fort Lauderdale, FL and graduated with Beta Sigma Kappa honors. I have
completed externships in various areas of optometry including contact
lenses with specialty fittings, pediatrics with emphasis of strabismus
and amblyopia, and low vision services. Completing an internship at a
multi-facet OD/MD practice has allowed me to become comfortable diagnosing
and treating various ocular manifestations and diseases including glaucoma,
macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetes, and dry eye. I also have experience
in sports vision, as I have been part of the vision screenings for the
Miami Dolphins football program.
I enjoy the one-on-one relationship with the patient and experiencing that
each case is unique. Building a strong professional trust is very important
me, and it starts with patient education. Today's medical world is
rapidly evolving and helping send a message of good overall health is
also key to good ocular health. I look forward creating professional relationships
with the people of the Phoenix area and tending to their individualized
ocular and visual needs. In my spare time I enjoy visiting with family
and friends, watching sports, and working out. I also have enjoyed some
volunteer time participating in vision screenings for Special Olympic athletes.
Director of Accounts
I have worked for Vision Wellness Center for almost two years. I started
out as the Front Desk Receptionist several years ago before going on an
“extended” maternity leave to have my beautiful daughter.
After she turned two, I rejoined the Vision Wellness Center team as they
expanded their second office. I recently took over the role of Accounts
Receivable for the office.
I have been happily married for over five years and have one little girl.
I enjoy outdoor activities and am looking forward to growing both within
the business and individually. I love being able to help others and to
ensure they see a smile each time they visit our office. In my free time,
I enjoy collecting new and vintage Barbie dolls from across the world
and watching movies with my husband. While in high school and college,
I taught dance, a true passion I have had since a small child. I enjoy
when others obtain a pleasant experience in which they can walk away saying,
Hello! My name is Jessica. I joined the team at Vision Wellness Center
in July 2012. I truly enjoy coming to work each day, and being able to
build relationships with all of our patients by playing a role in their
vision care. I love being able to help others get the care they need for
something as important as their vision.
I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Arizona towards
the end of High School. I then attended Arizona State University and graduated
in 2009 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. I have a true passion for
education and always enjoy an opportunity to gain more knowledge.
